This is a pull-on, smock blouse.
From the pattern maker: "This children's sewing pattern for a loose-fitting, pull-on smock dress or blouse features a one-piece V-notch yoke and button loop closure. This sewing pattern for girls includes three views: a dress with double-thickness hem and matching pockets, a color-blocked dress in the same style, and a blouse-length version of the dress."
I made this twice in sizes 4 and 7. The pattern comes in sizes 0-12. The style is loose and the fit is good.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions are great, very easy to follow and very clear.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love that this is so quick to sew. I've made this before as a dress with great results, so I thought I'd try the blouse. It's even quicker and easier.
I used quilting cotton. The kids chose the print.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I strongly recommend this pattern and wold sew it again. I've already used the pattern to make two dresses and two blouses.
