Front and back V-neck dress with contrast panel bodice insets and skirt with pockets and pleated front.
17-21. This is a petite pattern. I had to un-petite it to a size 34.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
It looks very much like the model photo and the line drawing.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
This was the detailed sewing course in the Burda magazine and that was helpful for this pattern. The only tricky part is the inset panels. It's hard to make the points nice.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I loved this line drawing when I first saw it. It look me a couple years to make it though. I love the inset panel and the sleeves. I don't like that the top inset seam lines don't line up with the pocket seam lines. That bothers my type A personality. Looking at the pictures, it really isn't a big deal.
The first time I made this, it was the wrong fabric. It was made out of a very crisp khaki fabric. WRONG! This time, I made it out of wool blend suiting material. RIGHT! I've had this fabric for years and was always afraid to cut into it. I think this was a good match of fabric and pattern. I used a fun lining material for the inside. I used a dark purple invisible zipper in the side seam.
