Semi-fitted sleeveless blouse with triangle cut-out neckline and buttoned lower back. The pattern includes a Peter Pan collar variation.
The pattern envelope contains a full size pattern and a detailed instruction booklet. This pattern is fully bilingual (french/english).
34-46 (Euro sizes). I made a size 38 and it fit great!
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, I think so.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions were sparse, which I wasn't expecting for some reason. I made my own bias tape as suggested but the directions for bias tape give no indication of a suggested width and very little help on how to make bias tape.
Also, I think next time I make it, I'll change up the order of construction from the yoke down.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I loved the versatility of the pattern and the different views, with/without neckline cutouts, with/without Peter Pan collar and there have been some very lovely tops blogged about.
A woven cotton with a bit of stretch.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Didn't make any changes and it fit pretty well. My boyfriend commented that he didn't like the way it fit because it looks like it 'floated' on me to which I replied...I think that's the point He's only a fan of tight form fitting garments haha.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes and yes! Although I wouldn't it for beginners ONLY because the instructions aren't very thorough. If the instructions were more clear, this top wouldn't be terribly difficult for a beginner.
A beautifully drafted, comfortable and versatile blouse. Go make one! More pics on my blog.
