Pattern Description: Drape front jacket, pants and tshirt
Multi Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?YES!!
Were the instructions easy to follow?Very easy. I can sew one up in a couple hours.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?I love the front drape! I am 5ft 4in and the longest part of the drape hits my knee. So it is really more of a tunic length. I have no dislikes.
Fabric Used:Sweater knit.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:The sleeves are VERY long. I do not have short arms but the full length sleeve hem was hitting my knuckles. I love the bell shaped hem on them but, no way. Not for me. So I made them 3/4 sleeves. NOW, with CJ patterns you need to figure out what kind of ease you want. I don't "do" negative ease. I would have had that if I had gone by my high bust measurement (36) size small. Instead I cut out the size medium. The fit is perfect for my 42 inch bust. Not too tight across the back either. I like that the neckline is modest. Because no one needs to see my boobs flopping around. FYI I am a size 12 RTW and normally cut a size 14/36 pattern and do FBA when needed.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?Yes! I am currently making one in a slinky black/gray knit.
Conclusion: This is a great jacket and I will make several of them. Flattering on many sizes. This will be a staple in my wardrobe.
