CUTE shorts! You did a nice job taking time to do the welt and flap pockets. Your Sis must be pleased! It looks like this pattern is designed for woven fabrics. If you choose to use a stretch fabric, try to get one that doesn’t have a lot of stretch or they’ll end up oodles too big, especially if there’s a vertical stretch too. A woven cotton spandex would likely be the best choice for a good fit. If you use a two-way stretch knit you’ll probably have crotch adjustments to do, especially in the long version because the weight of the legs will pull them down. A jogging fleece would be cozy for winter. Cheers!
