Baby Coordinates Pattern Sizing:
New Born/S/M/L with the combination of Weight and Height Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Sizing. Only warning for this pattern is sizing. I did not expect I needed to worry about sizing for baby clothing.
I chose M based on her height which is accurate since I got the number from her medical check-up. But the topper length is way too long for her. I shorten the hem. Width fits well.
Also, the suggested eristic length did not work either. The pants waist was too loose after inserting and I needed to shorten the length. I also shorten a crouch length a little as well.
Cotton from Hobby Lobby Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I added ruffle to the pant hem, which this pattern does not call for. I did not shorten the original length. Just made the ruffle about 2.5 inch width and added it. I enjoyed ruffle foot.
Additionally, I created a bolero so that she can wear this in the cooler temperature. This was altered from RTW T-shirts sold at WalMart for $3 some. I chose 18 month size although she is 12 month now since this is outerwear. I cut up the center and hemmed. I also shortened sleeves and length, using ½” fusible tape and double needle. Then made a button loop from the cut off scrape and sew a pearly button.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, it is easy to sew.
This is another set of outfits I made for our summer trip to Japan. Japan's summer is known for high humidity. I wanted to prepare nice cotton garment. All my family liked it !!!
