|Pattern Description: Tissue Box Covers in four styles|
Pattern Sizing: Cube and regular
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes it did.
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions were super easy, for the chair and couch. The teapot(not shown in my picture) took a little more work. The handle is kind of awkward and heavy. I've not made the "tulip" yet.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?I liked the variety and the ability to jazz it up or down. I have added the little pillow to one or two of the couches, but found them to be just as desirable with out the pillow.
Fabric Used:Cotton and cotton blends. Fluff for stuffing. Some binding and some lace. I use Fabric Tac to glue the arms and back to the base.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:The only alterations and changes are what ever I decided to add or take away. I don't put the elastic on the bottom of the item. After doing it to the first one I made, I found it to be unnecessary and it was a bit of a hindrance when trying to put in and take out the box of tissues.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?I've made dozens of these little gems and will continue to make them. I made some out of "wedding" material when my son got married. I sat them around the area and kept one beside me.
Conclusion: With the holidays coming, this is what I call the "perfect" gift. You can get two chairs, or couches, out of less than a yard. This is a gift that anyone can use, little kids to elderly, men and women. Princess prints for my great nieces, sports and superheros for my great nephews. I've made them for my dentist office(found scrub material with toothbrushes and dental floss on it). Made some for my Breast cancer surgeon's office, out of a very pretty pink ribbon material. In the picture included here, you will see one with eye glasses, that is going to to my eye doc next week. When I walk into these places, my little tissue boxes are sitting on the reception desks. Everyone loves them. When I go visit a relative or someone I haven't seen in a while, I take them one of these. Such an easy and welcome little thought. Not everyone drinks wine or can have candy, but everyone uses tissues. The fun is finding the right print for the right person. I keep extras on hand for "emergency" gifts. The JETS print, covers the tissue box in my husband's bathroom(matches the valance at the window). I make them to match new curtains or bed covering. They are all over the house
