|Pattern Description: Stylish and comfortable cardi with shoulder tucks and front tie detail.|
The back length of size 8 is 27.5" from the back of the neck to hem.
Pattern Sizing:4-30, I made an 8.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes but I think it actually looked nicer!
Were the instructions easy to follow?I had no problem with them, but then again I don't really rely on instructions.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like how the front is slighty longer than the back, and how the tie gives it a slightly more structured look and helps shape the waistline. (In case if you are wondering, the ties are sewn into vertical waistline darts.)
I didn't dislike anything.
Fabric Used:A nylon/lycra jersey from Fabric Mart that has the look, feel, and drape of silk jersey
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: No style adjustments. Fitting adjustments were lengthening the waist 1", lengthening the hem 1", lengthening the sleeves 1", doing a 3/8" narrow shoulder adjustment, adding 3/8" to the front of the sleeve cap, and adding 5" width to the hips. I also did a 3/8" broad back adjustment and added 3/4" width to the sleeves.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?Yes, I think it is a flattering cardigan and I would definitely make it again.
Conclusion: I also did a writeup on my blog, which can be viewed here.
