|Pattern Description: |
Retro Misses Dress, or as some call it, Jumper
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Love the overall look - so adorably retro! The darts create a slimming look. The bodice front top is nice and wide, so if you were wearing it without something underneath you can be sure it would cover you nicely.
A soft woolen plaid.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I didn't see the point of having a seam go right up the middle of the dress, and especially because I was using a plaid, I didn't want to have to match yet another seam. So I simply cut the front on the fold and adjusted for the seam allowances that I wouldn't be using. I think this made it much easier on me, and I think it looks nicer this way.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I would, and I have!
Such a fun look, and not a hard pattern to sew. However, it's tough to find now that it's OOP. Worth it if you can nab one!
