Mens/boys shirt and trousers Pattern Sizing:
Small - extra large & small - large. Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes Were the instructions easy to follow?
Reasonably. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Some of the instructions weren't very clear. Had to faff around with the collar as I didn't understand what they were trying to get me to do. Fabric Used:
100% cotton. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I left off the yokes on the collar but only because I was trying to match the pattern up on the front of the shirt and didn't have enough material for the yokes and I sewed on two pockets instead of one. I didn't put the slits in on the side of the shirt mainly because it was only when I came to sew up the hem I realised they should have been there ! That'll teach me not to read through the pattern first. I also topstitched the fronts and the collar of the shirt and I did a double row of stitching around the pockets as I hadn't quite caught the hems in when I initially stitched them on and I think it looks a lot nicer. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes and yes Conclusion:
This was a good true to size pattern, it was fairly straight forward once I realised what I was supposed to be doing. The instructions for attaching the collar could have been a bit clearer.
