|Pattern Description: Lined, pullover dress has underlined bodice and midriff, invisible side zipper, back and neck hook & eye closure, back cutouts.|
Pattern Sizing:6 - 22, I made this in a size 6 and altered to fit a very tiny young lady!
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? We had a couple of changes to the pattern, so not exactly like the pattern.
Were the instructions easy to follow?Yes, this was a very simple dress to make.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? It was exactly as my client wanted, except for her design changes.
Fabric Used:A Satin and lace combo from JoAnns Casa fabric line.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:I added sleeves, using a pattern from McCalls 2401, a very basic sleeve pattern. Also, my client did not want to the waist piece in the front, so I extended the front bodice at the waist. I had to take the pattern in quite a bit at the sides to eliminate a pretty sizable gap in the back.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?Next time I would try this in a lace and lining with a little stretch to it for a more comfortable fit. It's not super easy to get into at the shoulders, due to the zip at the side.
Conclusion: Cute dress and a pleasure to make!
