Semi fitted shirt (fitted through the waist) has collar and collar band, front facing or self-lined font and long or above elbow sleeve with buttoned or turn back cuffs
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes except it look different because of fabric choice
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes they were, I havent sewed a shirt for a very long time so I had to take a few looks at the pattern now and then just to double check, and I thought that it was explained very well. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Its a nice shirt pattern, a great wardrobe builder and like that its semi fitted to give shape. Fabric Used:
100% Cotton Sheeting, maybe abit too crisp Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I altered the shoulder slightly making it narrower and I also added a yoke front. I didnt self line it as I wanted the yoke to be visible. I would maybe take in more on the shoulder or maybe I need shoulder pads to compensate my little shoulders. Also I would alter the cuffs as they feel very big if I moved the buttons I would get a big fold not quite in keeping with the pleats. I also just overlocked the seams. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes I would this is a nice classic shirt Ive made, so maybe I would make one in a more fun fabric. Also I noticed I was a bit rusty on shirt making so I really should make another one but a completely different look. Conclusion:
A nice wardrobe builder that can be classic, fun, or whatever takes your fancy dependent on fabric choice.
