|Pattern Description: Close fitting, lined sheath dress|
Pattern Sizing:8-22; I made a 14 at the shoulders tapering to a 16 at the waist/hips
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?I like the separate lining pieces & thought it was a flattering design. My fabric leaves some bust gaping though, even with boob tape I may need to stitch it down....
Fabric Used:Satin-backed polyester crepe from my stash. I used the crepe side outwards and the satin side for the lining.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:I lengthened the bust 1" to get the empire line under my bust. I also lengthened it about 3" to be just above the knee.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?Yes, I think it's a flattering dress - I just wore it to a wedding, and plan to wear to another in October. The pattern has some nice touches, like separate pieces for the lining, and instructions on how to make lingerie guards.
On a separate note, DH liked the cleavage!!

Conclusion: A pretty, figure flattering dress
