Pattern Description: Unsophisticated seam lines with darts enhancing the waist a little, bateau neck und slightly flared hem. That's me! Unsophisticated!
Pattern Sizing: Misses!
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Well, those images are pretty small, but the darts seem about right.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Very much so- very basic shape.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I thought the long darts were quite fun- tho a real pain to get going- they are very oddly curved and I'm not entirely sure where they were designed to end. Under the bust? Next to it? It probably didn't help that I chose such a thick fabric....
Fabric Used: A very loud lime print Minky- yes, it's basically made of psychadellic teddy bears.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: nope. Oh, wait, I left out the zipper. Another dress that didn't seem to need one?! So I think the back seam could easilly be omitted.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes! This is agreat retro feeling basic sheath I could see in many variants. I'd like to try the tunic length and maybe a sheer one.
Conclusion: Make this. Its fun, it's a great easy shape.
