|Pattern Description: |
Classic shirt blouse with added shaping. It includes: bust and shoulder darts, sleeve vent and cuffs, collar and collar stand, separate button placket pieces, subtle shaping from waist to hip, and a curved hem. Also the main design feature: the lower half of the front is made in a different fabric.
34-52. I made my usual 34. The shirt is fitted in the shoulders and has more ease over the waist and hips.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, except I used only one fabric.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, they\'re good. I appreciated the attention to detail for the placket instructions. I never remember which side of the sleeve vent facing to turn under before adding the cuff, for instance. I\'ve seen patterns that failed to even mention that.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love wearing shirt blouses, and this one has really nice shaping - it\'s longer and curvier instead of short and boxy.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I did a square shoulder alteration. I decided to experiment and do a slightly smaller adjustment than usual (2cm instead of 3cm), but regret doing that as forward arm mobility isn\'t quite what I want it to be. Adding that 1cm will probably do it.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, this one will replace my previous shirt blouse TNT.
