Pattern Description: 7/8 length pants with side zipper in stretch cotton
Pattern Sizing:Petite Sizes 17-21
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes, the shape of the pant is similar, I am not however!
Were the instructions easy to follow?I didn\'t even look at them.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?I really wanted a simple pant with a side zip. I liked the Colette Clover pants but knew that Burda fit me well so I went with these.
Fabric Used:Cotton Sateen
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:I added some width at the sides because I\'m a size bigger than the smallest pattern. However, I ended up taking most of that off. Thes fit snug out of the dryer, as you can see by the pictures. But they definitely are not tight after they are on for an hour.
I also opted to do a regular zipper instead of an invisible. I\'ve had too many invisibles fail. They are fine in skirts but for a pair of pants that are on/off all day for potty breaks, I went with a more reliable regular zipper.
I also shortened the front inseam by a half an inch. These were already petite but they just hit me wrong.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? These are a great simple pant pattern. I made a wearable practice pair and have worn them already a couple times. These blue ones, I\'ve worn 4 times already. There will be more of these in my future!
Conclusion: Great simple pant pattern. If Burda pants fit you well and you want the look of the Colette Clover, these are great.
