|Pattern Description: \"Cutting edge\" Lynn Mizono designer pattern: Loose-fitting shirt with cross-over front and tie closures. Standing collar, asymmetrical hem and unusual sleeve treatment. |
Pattern Sizing: 8-14
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Not really. I was inspired by a sketch I had made, but it didn\'t look like the sketch either.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, but I had to do some thinking about the sleeve treatment.
b>What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the look of the shirt on the pattern envelope, but the drape in reality wasn\'t quite so nice. The sleeves are very large.
Fabric Used: Cotton.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Working from my sketch, I added an extra panel to the front (View A) and bias strips between the seams. I also used 4 different fabrics.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I might sew view B, but not soon and I\'ll stick to one fabric this time.
Conclusion: I\'m not thrilled with my finished garment. At times during the construction I had to ask myself if it looked like an apron or a shirt/jacket? My bad..... Choice of fabrics makes all the diference!
