|Pattern Description: From Jalie.com: "Stylish V-neck top, raised neckline at back, with or without sleeves. View A has a zipper at front neckline for more coverage." I made A. |
Pattern Sizing: F (21" chest) to FF (50" bust). I made an R, which is what my measurements suggested, but, as you can see in the picture, it's very form-fitting. I'd size up a little in the future, especially since I don't plan to wear the zipper down.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, once I understood the flippy zipper step.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the interesting collar construction.
Fabric Used: "Cool Max Knit Fuschia" from Fabric.com.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
The pattern leaves out covering the end of the zipper where you cut it off. I would advise covering it with a scrap so you don't get poked. Also, I didn't cut on the fold; I traced out all the pattern pieces in full the correct number of times and laid them out at once, saving about half a yard of fabric.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I'm planning on cutting about two sizes larger to get the fit I want and making it again at least once, if not more.
Conclusion: A nice pattern, but be mindful of the sizing.
