Pattern Sizing: I cut mine for an 18 but sized the waistband down a size or two. I wanted the skirt to be a bit fuller/swingier.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it more or less, I made a couple of modifications (see below)
Were the instructions easy to follow? So easy I didn't even use them!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the simplicity of the design and how quickly it comes together.
Fabric Used: printed cotton
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made the waistband about twice as wide as the pattern called for, so I could wear it with a shirt tucked into it and not have it look a little weird. I also extended the waistband about an inch and a half so I could make a tabbed closure on the top.
I also finished the hem with selfmade bias tape to give it a bit of a neater edge. but other than that, I kept everything more or less the same.
Oh! I ended up placing the pattern piece on the fold of the fabric and cut from there. That way I was able to only have one seam to sew, making an already quick pattern even quicker to put together.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, definitely. It's a great stashbuster and it took me maybe an hour and a half to make.
Conclusion: Love it! I can see myself cranking out a ton of these.
