The fabric and fit are nice. I would have liked to see more photos and details like your fix for the too short sleeve.

I can certainly understand your frustration with the facing. You could tack it with some beads or buttons. Ive done that with a number of Tees just to perk them up a bit. I got a whole bag of little orange buttons in a dollar store, and used them to cover the holes Id made carelessly ripping out some tucks. You will likely be the only one who notices the sleeve seam. If anything, it looks like a long cuff. Great fabric!
