14 Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes and no. There are only really 3 steps - binding the back neck, attaching shoulder seams and attaching sides. The instructions say to see side seams first, then bind the neck and then do shoulder seams. This didn't make sense to me because I thought it would make it harder to do something delicate like the neck binding with all that extra fabric attached. I did run into some problems though so maybe I should have followed the instructions. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love that its so quick and easy. I like the extra length and the cowl falls beautifully. Fabric Used:
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
No deliberate design changes, but I struggled a bit with the binding and so used a much bigger seam allowance than I was supposed to. I think because of this the front and back pieces didn't fit together exactly. And I ended up cutting the "sleeve" section a bit shorter so that the edges matched up. Not sure if that was the best way to do it, but it doesn't look any worse for it. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Absolutely! This was just a practice run using some leftover fabric from a maxi dress I made for my sister. I would definitely recommend it Conclusion:
I am a total self taught beginner so if any of the things I've said about my sewing process seem like typical rookie mistakes, please enlighten me
