Pattern Description: Close-fitting, A-line, above mid-knee length dress has front ruffles, pleats, exposed darts, back straps, princess seams, back zipper and contrast waistband with bow.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? I sourced the same fabric. I am yet to see it on my daughter, it looks similar.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Very! The inside of this dress is finished very well following all instructions.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? The ruffles were time consuming but it was easy after a while. I loved the fabric in the design and I am so happy to havr found it.
Fabric Used: Geometric chevron charmeuse
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I had to shorten the back strap to make the front bodice sit better. I only have a dress form to work on as my daughter lives interstate. I cut the bodice as 14, grading to 16 at the waist. The hips were graded out to size 18 and the skirt was lengthened as my daughter is very tall.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes! It is a lovely pattern to make. It takes time but is very rewarding!
Conclusion: I feel so fulfilled doing a search for the fabric and finally making this from my husge stash of patterns. I hope my daughter loves it!
