|Pattern Description: |
Misses' high-waisted dress, is sleeveless or short-sleeved with V-neckline and princess seams at fitted bodice front, has slightly flared skirt, back zipper and optional neck flounce.
I made view D, the sleeveles dress without a collar flounce.
I sewed in size 10 and 12.
I gave a more A-line shape to the skirt.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
The upper portion of the dress does not look as in the picture. The bodice has the front buttons removed and the V-neck is higher.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, they were clear.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the overall look of the dress, the soft falling skirt and the princess seamed front bodice with a V-neckline.
Rayon and Polyester blend.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I cut the front bodice on fold to omit the buttons.
The V-neck has been raised by 1" and armholes' bottom by 5/8".
I sewed the underarm seams in size 10, then graded out the side seams to 12 for the waist.
I widened the skirt by grading out the side seams to 16, from the waist to hemline.
I did not line the dress. Shaped facings were used to finish the armhole and neckline edges.
The dress was shortened by 8 1/4" at the lower edge. It has a slim waist tie belt and thread belt keepers.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others
Given that I have already made five dresses with this pattern, I do not plan on using it again. I obviously recommend this pattern to others.
Great pattern, very easy to modify with no big fit issues.
