Close-fitting, pullover tops have princess seams and narrow hem. A: purchased trim. A and B: neck band. Fitted jacket has hem band and exposed zipper. C and D: contrast lined hood. All have cuffs, and fit for men's sizing.
It's SUPPOSED to be unisex, S-XXl. I cut a small.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes. Very easy. I only looked at them to ensure I was attaching the sleeves correctly.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Very self explanatory and quick to put together.
Dislike that they claim it's unisex and that they show views A and B as if they're different. The blue version looks very shaped and the red isn't. However, they're the same pattern pieces.
There's also lots of extra room in the upper part of the sleeve, around the bicep area.
Regular old fleece from Hancock in a blue "animal" print.
After doing several tests, I ended up using a size 12 universal needle with a narrow zig zag to sew the seams. I serged all of the interior seams and cut the darts (on the shoulder of the sleeve) open.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
My daughter is 5'7" with a short torso but crazy long arms. I added 2" to her sleeve length. If I make it again for her, I'd widen the shoulders across the back and narrow the sleeve width.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Eh. I rated it Mediocre because it isn't "great" but it isn't "awful". It's an okay pattern that produces okay results.
I wouldn't sew it for myself...but would sew it for her again, if she asks me to.
Quick and easy but not special. She likes it though Was very excited to wear it to school today!
