Pattern Description: sleeveless pullover top for wovens
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?i didn't look, however there is a tutorial for this top
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? i like the simple lines and the fact that it doesn't look like a maternity top
Fabric Used: left over cotton blend
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: i ended up making 5 muslins of this top. i started with the US size 10 and it was huge on me. i took 4 inches out of the side seams which made it fit pretty well but it still was big in the shoulders, and i have broad shoulders. next i made the US size 4 which fit pretty well but still too broad in the shoulders. then i tested the US size 2 and took 1 1/4" out of the shoulder straps. this one was to tight through the back. so....i made the size 4 again, this time doing the same 1 1/4" strap adjustment and also moved all of the center fold lines over 1/2". this fit pretty good but still too tight through the back. the one in the photo is the US 8. i did the 1 1/4" strap adjustment and the 1/2 " center front and back adjustment. it fits pretty well but i think the US 6 will be the perfect fit.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? i will definitely sew this again, that's why i made so many muslins as i want to get it just right.
Conclusion: a cute top that's not very difficult. the pattern is drafted very well. i think i made it in about an hour.
UPDATE.......and picture change. this is muslin #6 and i think i've got it. this is the UK size 8 with 1 1/4" taken out of the shoulder strap length and all center front and back fold lines moved over 1/2" to bring the shoulders in some. i have some really nice rayon ikat for this pattern so i wanted to get the fit right.
