|Pattern Description: |
Misses' pullover sleeveless top.
Size 0 to 18.
Taking into account the Colette Patterns sizing chart, I cut and sewed size 4.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, it is similar, but it has embellishment details at centre front on the center pleat. Some changes are also made at the waist area.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, they were clear and very easy to follow.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the fact that the neckline and armhole edges are finished with an exposed bias tape.
I love the center pleat at the front and the nice effect given by the contrasting bias binding.
Cotton for the top and the floral bias binding.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I raised the back neckline by 2". I found it a little low.
I lowered and shortened the bust darts by 3/8".
To control fullness around the waist, the top has front tucks and an elasticized back.
The box pleat was also stitched down to the front, close to the fold, with an encased contrasting binding.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others
This was my first Sorbetto top. I sewed it earlier this summer. However, similar to other sewing projects, I got pictures made of it only recently.
I enjoyed doing this top and I might sew it again.
It was easy and simple to put together. I would recommend it to others.
Top very fun and pleasant to construct.
