|Pattern Description: |
Misses' semi-fitted and collared blouse, is sleeveless with extending sloulders, has bust darts, front and back waist darts, straight or shaped hemline, with button or velcro front closure.
I made view A with a shaped hemline from view B.
I sewed in size 10, with armholes and bust darts in size 12.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, it looks like the picture, but mine has a self waist tie belt with belt keepers.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, they were detailed.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the simplicity of the blouse and the extended shoulders ending into cap sleeves.
Cotton Interlock Knit.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I made five vertical buttonholes instead of the four horizontal ones as shown on the pattern. I spaced them evenly on the right front and I sewed five 3/4" wide buttons to the left front center to match the buttonholes.
Comparing to the original pattern, the first button is 3 1/8" higher and the last button 5/8" lower.
I finished the armholes with a self fabric band. I turned the seam allowance toward garment and pressed the sleeve band out. Then, on outside, I edge-stitched the blouse close to the band seam.
The blouse has belt keepers and a waist tie belt made in the same fabric.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others
Yes, I might sew it again in a cotton or rayon fabric. I might also lengthen it to turn it into a shirtdress. I would recommend this pattern to others.
Very nice and easy blouse pattern.
