|Pattern Description: |
Misses' fitted and collared shirt, has front button closure, V-neck and shaped hemline, sleeveless, short or long sleeves with or without bust and waist darts, made in a woven or knit fabric with optional shoulder pads.
I made view E, the knit shirt with short sleeves and no darts.
H(6-8-10), P(12-14-16), Y(18-20-22)
I used size 12 and 14.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, it is similar to the drawing with some changes made to the sleeves.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, they were very clear.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the overall look of the shirt, the V-neckline with a pointed collar and the shaped hem.
I have no dislikes.
Cotton Interlock Knit.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I sewed the shirt in size 12 above the waist and size 14 from the waist until hemline.
I shortened the waist by 1" (Petite adjustment) and respaced the buttonholes.
I used 1/2" wide buttons instead of the 5/8" called for.
Sleeves have overarm slit opening and tie trim.
The shoulder pads have been omitted.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others
I am not planning to make more of this view, but I would recommend it to others.
If I use this pattern again, I will try the version with darts, view B and C, in a woven fabric.
Great knit and woven front butttoned down shirt pattern.
