Pattern Description: Mens Shirts with collar and collar band, front band, pockets and sleeve variations.
Pattern Sizing: XM (Sml-Med-Lrg) Three sizes provided in the pattern envelope. I made the Large. I think it is also available with (XL, XXL and XXXL)
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, apart from my alterations.
Were the instructions easy to follow? I didn't really follow the instructions. I used this pattern in a Craftsy Class "The Classic Tailored Shirt" with Pam Howard.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?I loved the slim fit of the shirt and the collar and collar band. I didn't like the fact that it doesn't have a back yoke and it doesn't do proper sleeve plackets.
Fabric Used: 100% Cotton Shirting purchased from The Remnant Warehouse online.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made several changes to the pattern. I eliminated the front band by cutting the front band and the front piece as one. I redrafted the back to create a separate yoke and yoke facing, and I did a tower placket on the sleeve.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I have plans to make quite a few more of these shirts for my partner. There are so many variations you could make from this one pattern.
Conclusion: This is a great men's shirt pattern that can be used as a starting point to create many variations with some simple adjustments. The pattern as is, would be easy enough for a beginner sewer to try. See my blog Sew, Jean Margaret for lots more photos and details.
