This looks like a great pattern, thanks for the review! I've been thinking of making a unitard-I appreciate the warning about the neckline.

heehee! One piece thingy! I love this review. I love the sleek line, very Catwoman. One would have to think about one's bathroom plans far in advance, and that's a downer, but overall practical and great for yoga I bet. I'm thinking about making the KS leotard and wearing it as a top under a long skirt. This one would be great for that too, with the legs cut off. Thanks again for the review Unagi!

How much can you bring in the neckline and still get into this thingy? I'm assuming you have to crawl in through the neckline? It's great that you've found a pattern for this, since unitards aren't all that cheap to buy, and you can adjust the fit to your preferences. Thanks for the advice about using a heavier fabric, too.

Perhaps you could do a little inset of stretch lace and make it seem a touch more modest? Very practical for your application!

Great review. I would like to make it with decorative zips at wrist and ankle.

I made view A as a skinsuit to wear while snorkling in the tropics, and found it generally a good pattern, with a couple of caveats: 1. I have extremely muscular legs, and found that the diameter of the pattern at the calves was too small for me. Not by much, but it's something to be aware of if you know you have big muscles. 2. It's been a couple of years, but I remember some problem with the zipper, bad enough that I called Kwik Sew, got the designer on the phone, and she agreed that the instructions for zipper installation--as illustrated--would simply not work. Darn it, I can't recall exactly what was wrong anymore, but I think it was at the bottom of the zipper. Whatever the problem was, I figured out a way around it, so it wasn't too serious, I guess.

I never thought of wearing a unitard to yoga... you've inspired me! :) You say it's quite loose though the waist and that thin fabric would be a most likely no-go. I'm trying to make a costume that needs the unitard to be, essentially, a second skin. Do you think that with some easy alteration this is possible? Or would it just end up a nightmare and a headache? Any help would be appreciated :)
