Pattern Description: Short jacket with round neck. This type of sleeve is developed from raglan sleeve. Very sixties. Pattern Sizing: 34-42
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes but different style. I made into French style jacket.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Have not read it.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like this type of sleeve very much. I have board shoulder and I think it suited me well.
Fabric Used: Boucle
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I did a lot. First I trimmed the waist. I was afraid that it will become boxy. I dropped the underarm 1 cm. I made the neck wider. I added length and vents into sleeves. I made pocket. As for the trims placement, I took the look from Mrs. Stylebook magazine issue 152 year 2008. As for the lining, I used cotton knit fabric. I like it on my skin rather than other type. I hand sewn more than 90% of the jacket. I also hand quilted the lining into the fashion fabric. It needed, not because I wanted to. The machine would not work on this, may be a walking foot will do but I don't have it.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Oh no. It's so time consuming. But any girl should own at least one of the style.
Conclusion: I want to make this jacket to wear with denim. I want expensive street wear look. It is comfy too.
