A simple blouse that features 3/4 sleeves, a pointed collar and front and back darts for a fitted shape. Pattern Sizing:
European sizes 34 to 46 I think. I cut a size 36. Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes - they were extremely easy to follow. That is really the strong point of the Deer and Doe patterns. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
The contrasted pointed collar is really nice and feminine. And the shoulder gathering gives the design and nice original touch. Fabric Used:
Grey cotton voile for the bodice and black cotton for the collar and back yoke. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
No alterations. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I would definitely sew it again. Maybe with a more exciting printed silk or something and contrasting piping on the shoulders. Conclusion:
This is a great versatile pattern which can produce many different styles with fabric, collar and sleeve changes. I can recommend it for all levels of seamstresses and I look forward to making many more Airelle blouses!
