Pattern Description: Close-fitting, lined dress (fitted through hips) has yokes, right front with pleats, back princess seams, and invisible zipper. I didn't find this pattern excessively close fitting. It is comfortable.
Pattern Sizing: Misses 8-24
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? yes, except I added sleeves.
Were the instructions easy to follow? yes. This is a fairly simple dress to make. I didn't find anything complicated or confusing.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I liked the color blocked side panel... slenderizing.
Fabric Used: I used a ponte knit for the dress and a 40 denier tricot for lining.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Since I rarely do sleeveless and I intend to wear this in the winter, I added sleeves. I used the sleeves from Vogue 8871 and the fit in perfectly. i've used these sleeves before for other Vogue sleeveless dresses.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I would recommend this as it sewed up nice and was easy to make. Here is a close up of the dress with the tucks still basted and not yet hemmed. Click Here
Conclusion: Great dress and I'm sure I will get a lot of wear out of it this fall and winter.
