|Pattern Description: |
Misses' & Miss petite sewing pattern for day or evening dresses in two lengths with sash.
Women's 6-22. I cut the 12 for my RTW-size 8-friend.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The chest pleats were a little confusing, but I figured them out eventually.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I loved the neckline design. It was exactly what I needed for my friend's Betty Rubble running costume. I didn't want her to have to run in a necklace that could potentially bounce around and be bothersome.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Since I used a very stretchy knit, I eliminated the zipper, the neck closure, and the neck interfacing to make it so it would slip over her head. I basically cut out two full necklines, hemmed each one, and made a sandwich out of neckline, dress body, and neckline, and sewed them together. I also turned and hemmed the armholes instead of using a facing.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I don't think so, but she said it was really comfy to run in, so you never know!
This was a great, quick pattern for my friend's costume. I didn't have to make any fit adjustments at all, which is nice when you're making something for someone that lives 500 miles away. FYI, my costume (Wilma) is Simplicity 1770 and I reviewed it separately.
