Misses top in two lengths with neckline variations and tie belt. I used view B. Details : bias cut, little pleats in the front, back yoke.
I got the pattern from the French magazine "Tendances Couture", which offers Simplicity and New Look envelop patterns in magazine form.
The sizing was completely modified from the pattern envelop version. I made a 38/40.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions were very clear, using text and pictures. Not sure if it's just the translation of the original pattern or not.
I used Liberty Cranford ; it's covered with tiny little faces staring at you! Awesome.
Pattern alterations or any design change you made:
No design modification.
I had to make quite a few adjustments for fit, but that's just because of the sizing in the magazine.
I think I had to make the armholes a little larger though.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I really love the top. Probably won't make a second version, there are so many nice patterns to try out there. Really recommend giving it a try.
