|Pattern Description: |
Misses' pullover V-neckline top or front buttoned blouse, has front and back waist darts, sleeve and trim variations.
Pullover top has tie ends, front hemline slit, short kimono sleeves or is sleeveless with neck flounce.
Front button blouse has a band collar and front tucks.
I made view C, the sleeveless pullover V-neck top with collar flounce.
I sewed size 12.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, both tops look like the picture on the pattern envelope, but they do not have a back neck flounce and any lace embellishments.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, they were very clear.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like many things about this pattern: the narrow hemmed neck flounce, the neckline and armholes finished with a bias binding and the tie ends that give a better fit.
Rayon Bengaline for Top #1
Rayon Linen Blend for Top #2
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
The tops do not have any lace trim and the neck flounce at the back has been omitted.
I raised the front V-neck by 1 1/2" and lowered/shortened the front darts by 1/2".
The front hemline slit was extended upwards by 3/4" and tie ends were sewn 1" higher to the top at side seams.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others
If I sew this view again, I will make it in a print polyester crepe fabric.
I would recommend this pattern to anyone who loves collar/neck flounce.
