|Pattern Description: |
Misses' pullover V-neck top or button front blouse, has front and back waist darts, with sleeve and trim variations.
Pullover top has a front hemline slit and tie ends, is sleeveless with a neck flounce or has extended shoulders turning into short kimono sleeves.
I made view B, the pullover V-neckline top with kimono sleeves in cap length.
I cut and sewed in size 12.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, they look like the drawing but without lace trim.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, they were great.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like how simple it was to make the tops. The neckline is finished with a bias binding. The sleeves and the lower edge of the garments have a narrow hem.
I love the tie ends that adjust the fit at the waist area.
I have no dislikes.
Rayon Crepe for Top #1
Rayon Challis for Top#2
Rayon Linen Blend for Top #3
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
All the tops have shoulder slits.
The front V-neck was raised by 1 1/2", the front darts were lowered by 1/2" and the waist tie ends sewn to the garment 1" higher.
Top #1 has the ties added to the side seams, as indicated on the pattern, while Top #2 and Top #3 have theirs inserted into the front darts.
The tops do not have any lace embellishments and the front hemline slit is more pronounced by 3/4".
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others
I might sew more of this view in the future. I have already use this pattern to make a pullover dress by adding a skirt to it. Click Here
I would strongly recommend this pattern to others. Six nice blouses/tops are included in the envelope.
Very cute pullover tops, very easy to make with no big fit issues.
