|Pattern Description: |
Misses costumes,5 views. I made the ever-popular sailor version.
H5, 6-14. I made size 12 as that mostly agreed with my daughter's measurements. As she's never around for a fitting, did the best I could, but I forgot to do a SBA.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
I played around with fabric colors, and I used upside down "v" shaped darts after the fact (see forgotten SBA, above), but it looked pretty much like the drawing.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Mostly. Don't know if it was me (probably) or the directions, but I never made a bubble skirt. I wound up doing the stitching for the bottom of the skirt at the top first.Wound up ripping it out, but at least gathering was done.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
It is adorable, if you're young and thin.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Bust darts, since I forgot to do a SBA.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I would do another version if my daughter wanted it. I would recommend that the directions be read more carefully than I did.
Very cute pattern, but a bit more work than I've done in a while.
