I'm with you on this one. I always thnk there's something wrong with me whenever I sew a pattern that almost everyone has success with, but it's just another wadder for me.

I like the look of your top. I ran into some of the same issues when I made this and never used the pattern again.

I also think it's really pretty on you. But I agree with your dislikes. It IS much shorter (I too am only 5'5") and boxy than the envelope suggests.
