|Pattern Description: |
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? More or less, yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? Not really. I did pattern E and the instructions weren't all correct with the skipping of parts (such as creating the tie ends). But seeing as even on my prototype (I made one of muslin first before ruining $15 worth of denim) it came out wearable and seeing as I'm a beginner (this is my 7th sewing project) most of it was easy to follow.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I dislike the unorganization of the actual instructions and I disliked that I had to cut out pattern A in order to do pattern E. If I wanted to go back and do the longer one I'd have to tape the longer parts back on it.
Fabric Used: Muslin for the prototype. Bottomweight stretch denim for the final one.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I added old gold trim and some buttons to give my olive green skirt more of a military feel.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I want to try out the longer versions one day, but not anytime soon. Yes and no. The prototype took me 4 hours, the denim one took me about 2.5 hours. That's a lot of time lost making a skirt when there are simpler patterns with 3 less pattern pieces to construct a skirt from, but after my alterations I like it.
