|Pattern Description: |
Misses' fit and flared scoop neckline dress in two lengths, has front and back princess seams, back zipper and back tie ends, with or without long sleeves. All views have a stitched 5/8" narrow hem.
I made view C, the dress with contrast sleeves.
I used size 10 for the bodice and size 14 for the hips.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, it is similar to the drawing, but I made it longer and added a lace inset to the front neck.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, they were very clear.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love the princess seams and the fact that the dress was so easy and simple to put together. However, the dress had to be hanged overnight before being narrow hemmed.
Rayon Jacquard Satin;
Polyester Lace for the sleeves and the front inset.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I sewed the dress in size 10, instead of my regular 12, grading out to a 14 from the waist to the hips. Back ties were sewn to the dress 1" higher.
The dress has been lengthened by 5 1/2" at hemline and a lace inset was added to the front upper edge.
Long lace sleeves have a stitched narrow hem.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others
I do not plan on making more of this view, but I would recommend this pattern to others.
I have already sewn a sleeveless version for spring and summer time. Click Here
Nice princess seamed dress pattern.
