Pattern Description:
Semi-fitted, below waist, tapered pants have waistband variations and elasticized back. Topstitching. A: drawstrings. A and B: seam detail, pockets, bands, and stitched hems. Front, back, pocket bands: cut on crosswise grain. C and D: side front pockets. D: front button waistband and fly zipper closing.

I made a wearable muslin in view D and then a nicer pair in view C. The only difference between C and D is that D includes a fly front and C is a flat front. Both are really pull-on pants.

Pattern Sizing:
I made a size 16.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Pretty different. I am not slim like the models.

Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions were great. I had never made a full-fledged fly in a pair of pants, so that was fun. But now I'll go back to my standard mock fly application. Still it was interesting.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the pockets and the clever godet design of the inseam. I made my muslin straight off the pattern and realized that it is just too short for my tastes and my body. I am 5'5". I have actually worn that muslin pair for riding my bicycle though. Perfect for that.

One minor error in my tissue - the godet is about an inch longer that the front and back pieces it is attached to. I fussed over that for about 10 seconds and then lopped off the excess. Easy to fix.

Fabric Used:
Wearable muslin is made out of stretch denim. Final pants made out of a great stretch woven I purchased from Marcy Tilton's web site.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I had to scoop out the crotch a bit, following my TNT for pants. After the fun of the fly application, I decided I would like the flat front of view C just as well. These are really pull-on pants with or without a zip.

As I mentioned above I made a full-length pair in the final version.

I noticed on the stretch denim that the darts in the back were not really necessary and added a little bulk with denim. The back is elasticized anyway. I did use the darts on both pairs though.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I'm not sure if I will make it again. But it does have nice details that I might incorporate into other pants. Also views A and B are quite different so I might try those views some day. I do recommend this pattern, but muslin it to make sure of the fit.

Conclusion:
Both pairs are getting good use. Fun to make. Comfy to wear.

I've been curious about this pattern, so happy to see your review! Love the front on the black pair, looks like it would be flattering.

Thank you for the review. This pattern is on my cutting table - not yet cut! I will consider not bothering with the fly.
