Pattern Sizing: I cut a 12, but could have went down a size
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes!
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, instructions were very easy to follow. When sewing this one, you will need space..
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?I love the versatility of the dress. I love how you can change this dress up. You can even where this dress with a bra and wrap the wings around your bra in a way that you won't be able to see your bra straps. I love how you can also change this dress around; I love how you can transform this dress to look sorta like a wrap dress. This dress can easily be worn to work and then transformed to another style (a more sexier style), for example if you had a date after work and didn't have time to go home and change. You can wear this as a maxi dress (it would have to be lengthened, or course) with or without straps, it could be worn to look like you have on a shawl, the many styles are endless...
Fabric Used: Sorry, I made this dress probably almost 2yrs ago, but just really started on Pattern Review and thought I would review it. I can' remember the exact name of the fabric, but its like a rayon stretchy fabric, but it hangs and draps perfectly!
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: none
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?O, yes, most definitely, I would sew again and most definitely recommend it to others. When I do remake it, I will be adding more length to it and will be making it in a jersey knit next time, and also I want it to be in a print instead of a solid color.
Conclusion: Overall, I love this dress, but in a longer length. Mccalls never lets me down. Whenever, I am having a daydream about a creation, Mccalls ALWAYS comes out with it.
Also, I want to mention too, this dress which is called an infinity dress or is a form or replica of the infinity dress cost about $200.00 retail! I've seen it on the internet with prices of $100-$200.
