Pattern Description & Fabric Used:
I made the cowl neckline (view A) with the pleated sleeves from view D.
Fabric was a 2 m x 2 m piece of some kind of poly-knit purchased from one of the merchants at Stoffmarkt Holland. I plan to make a skirt with the rest.
Sizing and Fit
I made a 12. The cowl neck turned out not quite as drapey as I had hoped. I had a suspicion from the beginning that I really ought to make a full bust adjustment or go up a size, but I wasn't sure exactly what to alter & I hoped I could get away with it in a knit. It fits reasonably well, as is however.
Construction notes & Evaluation
The bodice is pretty straightforward, although I always confuse myself about which way to press the pleats.
The pleated sleeves are a bit trickier, but not difficult as long as you read the instructions and do all the bits in the right order. I agree with other reviewers who found them a bit bulky. Unfortunately there's no good way to take out the pleats after the sleeves have already been sewn without deconstructing the sleeves completely, and the knit stitch I use on my machine doesn't allow for easy ripping out, so I didn't try to test how the sleeves would look without the pleats.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the neckline on this, and I might make it up again with the vertical pleats in front.
I have mixed feelings about the pleated sleeves.
I am very fond of cowl neck tops, but this will not be my go-to pattern for this purpose.
