Pattern Description: (From Alabama Studio Sewing + Design) "This simple, pull-on Short Skirt...measures about 21" from the waist to the bottom edge...A single-layer garment requires about 1 yard of fabric."
Pattern Sizing:XS-XL - I cut an XL based on my waist being 33".
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Even down to the same color!
Were the instructions easy to follow?Totally; as usual you can pick up a needle for the first time and make this with the book.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?Loved everything about it - easy and it fit without alterations. Only 4 seams - what's to dislike?
Fabric Used:Recycled T-shirts from my kids' soccer years - could only use the back as the front had their team name and number on it. I found fold over elastic at Hancock, but they only had wacky prints, no solids.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:None.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?Absolutely! So easy that I started it in an airport and finished it on the beach - wore it to dinner 2 nights in a row!
Conclusion: Fantastic, as usual for Alabama Chanin. Next up will be a double-layer fitted dress (this skirt pattern is the bottom half of the dress pattern) with embellishment...and here's a link to my Alabama Chanin projects for the rest of you junkies - I love looking at everybody else's projects to get ideas!
