|Pattern Description: |
Lounge (or pajama) pants with piping and sash/bow.
Sewaholic standard; check the chart!
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Very clear; Tasia (owner/designer at Sewaholic) does a great job.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Loved it, and, although I didn't use them, it's great that Sewaholic includes pattern pieces for the sash/bow and also for bias trim, in case you want to make your own.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
The legs are looong and wiiiiide! I shortened the legs by 3.5 inches, didn't make the (very cute!) sash/bow, and skipped the fake fly.
The leg width is actually a lot of fun, but it's also overwhelming at my height/weight (5 ft 2 in/157.5 cm, slim). Next time -- because there will be a LOT of next times -- I'll take them in a bit.
I added pockets to the side seams; they just slip right in there naturally, and don't interfere with that fantastic piping one bit.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes and yes. The next pair is already in the queue. I live in flannel trews in the winter, and these are the home-wear of my dreams.
Pocket details and more on my blog, Noile.Net.
