Pattern Description: This is a trench coat style pattern with various length, collar, and sleeve variations.
I made view C, but omitted many of the trench coat features, as I wanted a more simple style.
Pattern Sizing: This comes in sizes 8-24W. I made a 16, one size smaller than the pattern recommended.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, with the exception of the omitted details.
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions are very easy to follow. Although this was tedious in that it had several pieces and lots of steps, it wasn't particularly difficult.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I wanted to make a double breasted, fitted white jacket. I like all of the possibilities with this pattern. If you want to make a traditional trench coat, that is an option. I don't have any dislikes.
Fabric Used: I used a white cotton twill for the shell. The lining is polyester.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made view C but left off the trench details. I didn't make any other changes to sizing or construction other than what was already mentioned.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I don't know that I will make this again but it is a great pattern and I would recommend it.
Conclusion: I love this jacket! I have a nicely fitting white jacket that I can wear throughout several seasons.
