Pattern Description: Ladies jacket, blouse and skirt. I made the jacket which has raglan sleeves.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow?Instructions are very clear and easy to follow.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?I like the raglan sleeves and the collar.
Fabric Used:A black and bronze silk brocade that I got from Emma One Sock a few years ago. It was billed as "Chanel" fabric. I used silk crepe de chine for the sleeve lining and the bias strips for the Hong Kong seam finishes. Buttons are covered - thanks to Pat's Buttons and Belts! She is fast and reliable and does as wonderful job. I haven't covered a button since I discovered her.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:I shortened the sleeves to 3/4 length, which seemed more in proportion with the short length of the jacket. I also used bound buttonholes so that meant my order of construction differed from the instructions.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?I have made this for myself before but this is for a dear friend's Christmas present. don't know that I'll make it again but I do recommend it.
Conclusion: A cute jacket with no real fitting issues.
