|Pattern Description: Misses'/Men's Tops and Jacket: Contrast lined hooded jacket, front pockets and zipper, ribbing on the cuffs and jacket bottom and FIT FOR MENS SIZING, a true unisex pattern.|
Pattern Sizing:Sized Small thru 3XL, I made a Small for my daughter (silver) and a 2XL for her boyfriend (gold).
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?Yes very simple, although I had some design changes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?I wanted a very basic sweatshirt jacket pattern, this fulfilled my needs.
Fabric Used:For both jackets, a stretch metallic velour; I loved how super metallic it is!! Then, basic ribbing and stretch lining (Jet Set) all from JoAnn Fabrics. Thank goodness for their coupons, the velour was quite astonishingly expensive! After choosing the velour, I chose my zipper and then the contrasting fabrics to match - I was worried about finding a zipper to coordinate with these projects.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
**I decided to line both jackets entirely, so I eliminated the facing piece that was called for along the zipper.
**Based on the previous review I by HanPanda, I knew that the pockets were going to be too small, so I added 1.5" to the bottom length and side width.
**Be warned, if making this jacket for men, I would purchase a 26" zipper. The 24" zipper was too short!
** It would be simple to resize this unfitted jacket for women, just shorten at the hem. I left my daughters long so the pair could be somewhat cohesive. I am hoping it's not to big!
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?Yes this is a very easy, basic sweatshirt jacket pattern. It is by no means fitted; my son modeled the gold jacket for this review, it is a Christmas present to my daughter's boyfriend and he is much larger than my son.
Conclusion: After Christmas, I will post a picture of them both wearing their Pokemon Jackets!
