Pattern Description: Simple no frills nightshirt with instructions for serger.
Pattern Sizing:All sizes in envelope.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes, with my modifications.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Didn't really need them.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Easy and fast! I wanted to make some comfy nightshirts for my elderly mom for Christmas. The fewer seams the better, as her skin gets irritated by the feel of seams. I used wooly nylon in the loopers to soften the feel of the seams.
Fabric Used:Organic cotton interlock knit from fabric.com
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:I made View A, tapering size M on top to L through hips. Instead of ribbing ( I can never find the colors I need!) I used self fabric. Also added a breast pocket, as this is a feature my 95 year old mom likes to have. Embellished with decorative stitching around neckline, pocket, and sleeve hems.
Would you sew it again? Probably. I first made a wearable muslin for myself using a lightweight knit, just to get an idea of the styling. This is the most comfortable nightwear I have ever worn! Would you recommend it to others? Yes - fast, easy, and go crazy wih embellishments!
Conclusion: Very satisfying quick and easy project.
